The Forever Beach Girl Journey
You may know me as Liz but at the beach, I’m known as Beth.
Originally from Cocoa Beach, Florida and raised along the sun-drenched shores of Florida's west coast, Forever Beach Girl is more than a brand—it's an extension of my own beach-loving spirit and the life experiences that shaped me.
Born in 1966, I grew up embracing the free spirit of the 70s, and by the time the 80s arrived, I was immersed in a world where Miami Vice and icons like Madonna set the style standards which encouraged self-expression. The cutest boys in school wore parachute pants with muscle tees while the girls had big hair and wore neon colors with tops cut to be off-the-shoulder. And Gen-X still agrees we had the best music that had us dancing until the early morning hours.
But while I showed up in high school like this, there was a side that many didn’t see. Where I picked up trash wherever I saw it haphazardly discarded and cut apart the plastic rings that held soda cans. Where I’d kick off my shoes any chance I got and where I’d rather be outside with the sun on my face with the sounds of birds and ocean waves filling the air and maybe, if I was lucky, the rhythm of drums and an acoustic guitar somewhere close. Deep down, I was a hippy at heart and proudly say that I still am.
Those contrast-filled days left an indelible mark on my creative spirit, one that would eventually bloom into the brand you see today.
The name "Forever Beach Girl" is a nod to my own journey of staying young at heart, keeping that carefree beach spirit alive no matter my age or where life takes me. It's about embracing the eternal summer within—that part of us that always yearns for one more sunset, one more wave, one more barefoot dance in the sand.
What began as my passion for creating handcrafted, one-of-a-kind jewelry has evolved into a celebration of the beach culture that defined my life. Each piece I create or design combines the natural beauty of ocean elements with a unique twist. Maybe it’s paired with the bold, electric energy of my 80s youth. Or maybe its the versatility to wear in different ways. The contrast that perfectly captures both my personal style and the Forever Beach Girl spirit.
